Downtown Pasco will again have a tree lighting and decorating ceremony this year, on December 10th from 5-7 pm. With support from the City of Pasco and main sponsors Goodwill & PayneWest Insurance, the DPDA invites you to bring the kids for an evening filled with Christmas Spirit, Songs and Sweaters. Goodwill is sponsoring the DPDA’s first annual ugly sweater party, and sweaters will be judged at the event and prizes awarded to the best ones. Here’s a look at some of the other event highlights:
- Tamales, Champurrado (A Mexican Chocolate Beverage) & other refreshments to be provided
- A downtown Luminary lighting in Peanuts Park (Plaza area next to Viera’s Bakery)
- Elementary School Choir performance
- A word from the Pasco Mayor and a visit from Santa Claus
“The holidays help bring us all together in celebration of a season of sharing and hopefully some downtown shopping as well. We promise there will be lights above the plaza and at businesses around downtown.”
